After more than 10 years making drinks as a home bartender, I started this blog in September 2022 as a place to share what I&#8217;m doing as I continue to explore this interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In my day job, I work in the field of <strong>user experience design<\/strong>, which has interesting parallels to the <strong>process<\/strong> of developing new menu items as well as the <strong>systems<\/strong> where business strategy and behind-the-scenes operations come together as part of a customer experience (in a bar, restaurant, or anywhere else).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ll add more to this page in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Places I like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>I get almost all of my coffee from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.broadsheetcoffee.com\/\">Broadsheet Coffee Roasters<\/a>. I also go to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.georgehowellcoffee.com\/\">George Howell<\/a> when I&#8217;m nearby.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/russellhousecambridge.com\/\">Russell House Tavern<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/statepark.is\/\">State Park<\/a> are two of my go-tos for food and drink. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thelexingtoncx.com\/\">The Lexington<\/a> is a recent favorite.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m an avid hobbyist of cocktails, spirits, and coffee, living in the Boston area.
